Later on that night, after the kiddos were asleep, the elusive Easter Bunny came! Funny, I remember a few years ago Kailyn was so scared of the Easter Bunny. We were telling her about how he comes while you are sleeping and leaves you gifts. She says "Wait... A giant bunny sneaks into my house while I am sleeping?!" She was horrified. Then we told her "well, its like Santa, he's nice, he's our friend!" But she still was NOT having it. So she told us to make sure all of the doors and windows were locked, and to let the Easter Bunny know to leave her basket on the front porch that year. Ahh good memories!
We had a full day of activities planned, so we had to wake the kids up early in the morning. They were both thrilled.
But they sure enjoyed their baskets once they got the sleepy dust out of their eyes. After that we rushed and got dressed and headed off to church with Shannon and Jennifer, Kristine, and kids. Where we had a wonderful service, followed by a massive Easter egg hunt.
Then after church we headed over to Shannon and Jennifers house for another Easter Egg hunt, and a great dinner.
