Memphis, TN!

We woke up at 3am so that we could make it to Seattle to check in for our flight by 8am. Kailyn didnt go to bed until 10pm, and Kevin and I did not make it to bed until midnight. So we were exhausted. Kailyn decided it was tons of fun to be awake at night time, and refused to sleep at all in the car. She was good though, which surprised me, because she had such little sleep. There was very little whining. We get to the airport, and get on our first plane. I am a bit nervous, because I had only been on one plane before, and that was 10 years ago. We sit there and sit there and finally the pilot goes on the speaker and says that they are having technical difficulties, please be patient. then he comes back and says that the difficulties they are having is that a light wont go off on the dash. a few minutes later he says that the light that wont go off is a "door shut" light, and they arent sure if the door is not shutting, or the light is malfunctioning. by now I am kind of freaking out. So they tell us we are going to switch planes. then he comes back and says nevermind, maintenance is on their way, please stay sitting. Then finally they say yep, we are switiching planes. By this point in time, our connecting flight was not only missed, but was landing by now. So we go to talk to customer service. They change our flights around so that instead of leaving at 10am, flying to portland, OR, then to Minneapolis, then to memphis, we are flying from seattle to Denver, then to memphis. Instead of getting there at 8pm, we are now getting there at 11pm. @@ They gave us vouchers for free lunch for our troubles.
We had an amazing time visiting with everybody. We stayed at my cousin Carla's house in Marion, Arkansas, which was about 20 minutes from my uncles in Memphis. Carla and her family were so gratious and we loved staying there. Kailyn celebrated her 3rd birthday while we there, and my amazing chef cousin baked her a fabulous cake. Kevin celebrated his 24th birthday there, and we had a party for him too.
